Staging is an art form, and the completion of every new piece must first begin with an idea and a vision. Maryland was no exception and offered a beautiful canvas to enhance with contemporary furniture and simplistic décor.
On the corner of two quiet streets in Sidney, BC, this new construction sits amongst flowering trees, well-manicured lawns, and gardens, and is brushed by the light ocean breeze from the adjacent waterfront street. With such a beautiful starting point, we didn’t want to over-stage the home and take away from its natural, simplistic beauty so incorporating décor that would compliment the space was my number one priority.
We decided on dark grey furniture with pops of blue and green as a nod to its nearby beachy location and kept the lines clean and furnishings minimal. Adding a desk, chair, and lamp to the den off the entrance, we hoped this would encourage potential buyers to use their imagination and envision their own use for the den as well as offer an example of its potential.
Putting this property’s best foot forward was not a difficult task as the new finishes and open concept living and kitchen areas presented an easy starting point and offered plenty of natural light to compliment the darker colour palette we chose.
